Spring 2008

HEV 577:  Advanced Topics in Nutrition:  Eating Disorders (3  credit hours)—Ms. Elizabeth Jackson

Chat sessions for HEV 662 will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 pm (eastern time zone) beginning the week of January 7 through May 2, 2008  

HEV 672:  Advanced Clinical Nutrition (3 credit hours)—Dr. Leslie HIldebrandt

Chat sessions for HEV 672 will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm (eastern time zone) beginning the week of January 7 through May 2, 2008.

All students must attend the first chat session held on Monday, January 7, but may then choose to participate in eight one hour sessions on Monday and eight one hour session on Thursday throughout the course of the semester.  Attendance in a minimum number of sessions on both nights will be required.  The format for the course will be outlined in the course syllabus and described during the initial chat session. Please see links to course materials from the last semester the course was taught below. 

Course materials will be available on Blackboard two weeks prior the first week of class.  Students are required to review all course materials prior to the first day of class.

 HEV 670:  Seminar:  Nutrition (1 credit hour)—Dr. Robert Lee

Nutrigenomics
An exploration of the emerging and expanding field of nutrigenomics which applies our understanding of the human genome to human nutrition in order to understand the relationship between nutrition and health.

Two sections of HEV 670:  Nutrigenomics will be offered.  Registration will take place April 7-April 18.

Required equipment for HEV 670:

A headset with microphone (USB preferred) which may be purchased from most office supply stores, discount retail stores, or on-line. 

A textbook will not be required for HEV 670.  Assigned readings will be made available through the course web site (Blackboard).
