Admission requirements

The Central Michigan University Dietetic Internship admits a total of 20 students to the program annually. All qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, or marital status. Admission requirements are as follows:

Applicants must have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree to be considered for admission.

The minimum grade point averages are shown below, however an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) is recommended for acceptance. Applicants who do not meet these criteria will not be considered for an internship appointment. No exceptions will be made.

Cumulative GPA 2.75

Dietetics GPA 2.75

Completion of the CMUDI application procedure which includes submission of all materials listed on the enclosed checklist.

 Applications for the January 2009 program must be postmarked no later than September 25, 2008.  Acceptance notification day is November 17, 2008.

Final admission of matched applicants to the CMUDI is contingent upon graduation from a college or university and completion of an ADA-approved didactic program in dietetics and satisfactory completion of a medical examination indicating the applicant's physical and mental capacity for performing duties associated with the internship.
